Room 223, Late Saturday Morning
Nov. 12th, 2011 05:05 pmThe keyboard had arrived yesterday.
Natalie V. Adams, 16 years old, hadn't done anything but set the instrument up by her desk. That was about to change now that Natalie Adams, almost eight years old (and three months was a loooong time), jumped out of bed, grabbed her glasses from the nightstand and put them on. (The glasses didn't have lenses in – she was just having a phase where she thought glasses were the best thing ever.) Now properly attired for the day, she spotted the keyboard, clasped her hands together excitedly, and quickly made her way over.
It was only a slight struggle to get up on the chair that she'd so meticulously adjusted for her teenaged height last night. Soon enough, she was sitting there, and started playing a song. ... Or at least a very, very simplified version of the chorus. Played, for the most part, with only one finger. She hadn't been taking lessons for that long. She was making up for it with enthusiasm, though!
Good thing the keyboard hadn't been set to be too loud.

longislandiceme a looong time ago. Yes, it's a song about a rabbit shooting a hunter. You know, for kids!]
