Natalie had not slept much last night. This wasn't really news, considering the week, but this night had managed to be even worse. See, she'd received a voicemail last night. One that got cut off in the most ominous fashion possible. And then the leaver of said voicemail had never actually made it home last night. Natalie knew this because she'd checked – several times, even.

In fact, since it was now morning, she'd just gone and checked again, after trying Sam's phone one last time. He wasn't there. Through the night, Natalie had stubbornly held on to the hope that he was just hiding and waiting things out somewhere, but he was nowhere to be found and since she was a pretty stark realist at the best of times, she had run all out of optimism on this particular thing.

Returning to her room, Natalie sunk to the floor. She was angry and she was sad, and as a combination of the two, she was overwhelmed. A cloud formed above her head. It was small, but dark. And then it started raining on her. Yes, Natalie had her own personal little raincloud. Raining water. Indoors. It didn't seem to soak anything, though: the rain didn't seem to actually touch Natalie at any point, and the raindrops all vanished before they hit the floor.

Natalie was not in any shape to appreciate the convenience nor the humorous effect right now.

[ooc: Door is cracked, post is open, girl is emo (though will be getting a grip on herself soon), and yes, you can probably hear the rain from the hallway if that's the type of thing you'd investigate.]
