Room 227, Wednesday Afternoon

Africa. Well, guess Natalie was going on fall break, then. It was almost weird how easy the decicion was, considering. Ever since she'd gotten back to Fandom on Monday she'd been feeling uneasy. Homesick and... well, if Samsick had been a word it would have fit. Sometimes the reality of long distance dating was a little harder. And she missed Montreal more often than not. And not just Montreal, but the internal logic of her world. So it probably would have made sense to rush to either Montreal or Seattle since she was going to have a week to spare. But, she probably wasn't going to find another excuse to go to Africa any time soon. And she felt like she'd done quite enough caving under her emotional responses lately.

So, the school trip was really the most logical choice.

Other things that were logical? Immediately upon having decided what to do, checking out the kind of weather South Africa was currently having before wandering over to her dresser to start looking at whether she needed to buy any new clothes before next week.

It was either that, or starting to think about what books she should bring with her.
