It was Canada Day somewhere.
But not where Envy was. Here it was just another day with a ton of interviews – although most by phone to other parts of the multiverse entirely – followed by a show. And then another night at a hotel.
The interviews were more of the same, the show was exhilarating, and the hotel was... Well, it was nice. If lonely. This was one of the slightly more off-beat stops on the tour: northern Europe wasn't exactly an obvious choice for the beginnings of world domination. But Envy's team was taking the opportunity to try different approaches in different worlds. A one-off show somewhere relatively remote was one such experiment. Seeing what word-of-mouth and mystery did.
It made for a quiet night post-show, at least.
The hotel bar boasted about having served 'luxury cold drinks since 1887'. It was a nice enough place for Envy to be sipping a drink. Alone. While scrolling through the next few days' itinerary on her phone. Oh, the life of a multiversal star-in-the-making.
