Envy's Duplex, The Hegemony Compound, Ribeirao Preto, Sunday
Envy had been busy. She'd spent about a month hopping around the multiverse on promotion duty, playing exclusive shows and giving interviews, drumming up interest and creating a buzz for various multiversal launches of her album. And she'd loved every second. It was great work, and she thrived in the spotlight.
But it was great to be home ––
Well, here. Back.
Semantics, whatever. She was back in Brazil, at least for a week or so: after that, she was heading out again. More places to hit. Some of the harder ones, even. That was why she'd scheduled her break right at this point in the endeavour.
But right now, she was sitting on her living room floor, working. She had a big crate of fan mail in front of her, pre-sorted by her assistants and sent in from New York. They'd weeded out the boring stuff and just left what they thought she'd find interesting, and maybe even worth personally replying to.
And somewhere in the middle of all this work, she thought to send Peter a text. Nothing fancy, just simply:
I'm back.
[ooc: NFB but open to calls/emails/texts, and that dude that also lives within the compound!]

He tried to tuck his hair back behind his ear and remembered he'd had it cut just yesterday. With a sigh, he finally just rang the doorbell.

So of course the first thing she said when she came to get the door for him was, "Hello, Peter. You're late."
no subject
Or give him the kiss he was leaning in for.
no subject
"And you've cut your hair," she noted. "I don't know if I can support these things."

Well, it was. But she wasn't about to dwell on that right this instant because she had something she was more interested in doing. Her hands settled on his shoulders, and pushed him against the closed door – not roughly, but... firm and insistent – before she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
Nothing too rough there, either. But it was very much a personal kind of kiss hello.

"Hello," she murmured, as she paused for a breath. "Sorry."
She meant about startling him, but she didn't sound that sorry.

But he didn't particularly want to argue the point further when he could deepen the kiss instead, taking the challenge offered by her teeth.
no subject
Suppose she could just lean into him a little more, instead.
no subject
But he had a little time now. More than a little, actually; he'd cleared his schedule for most of the rest of the day.
And so after a few moments he nudged her gently towards the couch, refusing to break contact.
no subject
And she wasn't about to pull away either. Even if it did mean moving backwards carefully, because she couldn't remember where exactly by the couch her crate of fan mail was. Falling over it would not be a good look for anyone.
So she probably shouldn't have used the moment to slide one hand down to grope his ass for the fun of it, either. But oh well.

She'd been busy too. Or just wouldn't admit more than that. She snuck a quick glance back, maneuvering them past the letters to the couch.
"Or just your ass. Who can say, really?"
Smirking.

Their mouths were close, though. He kissed her again, turning around so he could sit down.

"With the number of times you've walked away from me?" she joked. "Please, I don't need my hands to get acquainted."

It was only fair, considering it all, that he'd move his hands until he could slide them up her thighs instead. (He'd missed the feeling of that skin under his hands.)
no subject
(She cared very deeply about his hands on her thighs, though.)
