Despite some major bumps along the way, this Spring Break week had righted itself eventually, even if it hadn't been without a lot of painful past things discussed. Natalie supposed that was something you did when you wanted your relationship to be about more than just hanging out.

Not that that made it any easier.

But waking up seemed to be easy today, at least in the sense that coming into consciousness wasn't immediately followed by being metaphorically hit in the face with the mistakes of days past. With a sigh, she covered the arm around her with her own, and slid her fingers between Sam's. This morning was already better than the previous one had been.

"I'm a woman of principle," Natalie drawled, with just the lightest of disapproving frowns up at him. Like she wasn't kind of aching or anything. "Sometimes that doesn't pay off."

"Obviously," Sam pointed out, giving her a shake of his head and stroking her thigh again. "You've lost out. Guess you'll have to adapt."

"You haven't taken off for a walk alone yet," she retorted. With a shiver. "I don't think everything's lost before you do that."

[necroslacker]

"I felt that shiver," Sam said, giving her another smirk that looked almost smug. "You cold or is it something else?"

"Don't play dumb, Samhain," Natalie drawled, even as she reached up to trace that smirk with a few fingertips. "You come by it naturally easily enough."

[necroslacker]

"Your enjoyment of my full name is funny," Sam said, kissing those fingertips and letting his own fingers wander a little closer to where they'd just been again. "My mom would like you."

Natalie tapped her fingertips against the tip of his nose and didn't bother holding back another laugh. It was so rare that she laughed at all, you see.

"Really? You're going to talk about your mom now?"

"What else should I be doing?" Sam asked, going back to playing dumb because it was fun and because he really did like her laugh.

He was awful. And she kind of liked that so clearly there was something wrong with her.

She flicked her fingers against his nose, this time. "You know perfectly well."

[necroslacker]

"I don't," he said, all wide eyed innocence. "What should I be doing? Skateboarding? Doing homework? Eating?"

With a good-natured eyeroll, Natalie reached up to kiss him lightly. "Seemed to know it just a moment ago," she murmured. "You're pretty scatterbrained."

[necroslacker]

"Yeah?" Sam smirked and dropped a light kiss against her lips. "Maybe I am. Whatcha gonna do about it?"

Well, she could shift a little, and slide her leg against his. Just a bit.

She could also slide her fingers back into his hair. "Am I being tasked with getting you back on track?" she wondered. "Is that where this is going?"

"I think that's what might have to happen," Sam said, giving her a little smile at those movements. "You think you're up to the task?"

"It's not my first time doing this," Natalie pointed out as she reached up for another kiss. And lip nibbling. His own fult for having nice lips. "I think I know a thing or two about helping you out."

[necroslacker]

"I never said you wouldn't be able to do it," Sam said though it probably sounded weird since she had a hold of his lips. "I was just wondering out loud if you were going to be up to the task. Curiosity."

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie released his lip and made an amused sound. "Good thing you're not a cat," she quipped. "I've heard curiosity can be fatal for felines."

Of course, she was really only distracting him from the fact that her hands had come down to his shoulders, and right now, she was going to use that hold on him to try and roll them over for a change of pace.

He had to have his back pressed against the mattress for a change.

Once Sam figured out what she was doing, he wasn't too bothered at all with having his back against the mattress and her on top of him. Hey, it was a great view and he laughed a little when he'd settled down.

"Not a cat," he confirmed, smiling up at her. "I'm a lot less furry."

"Mmhmm," Natalie agreed, and since she had a whole new view of things, she ducked down to press a few idle little kisses against his chest. "I prefer it that way."

That made Sam chuckle again even as he closed his eyes and sighed at those kisses against his chest. They felt nice, okay? He was not immune to how soft lips felt against his skin.

"Guess you're lucky you've got me then," he mumbled since he was pretty much sans hair except in the places he had to have it. Nothing weird on his chest or back.

"Mm." There were more kisses. Of course there were. "Probably not just for that reason."

And since that was more truthful than playful, she obviously had to lick over one nipple to try and distract him from that.

"There are other reasons?" Sam asked, unable to keep that from sounding a little breathy and soft. That felt good too but he wasn't that easily distracted and had been able to get that out before he was too far gone.

"Lucky in general."

Teeth? Teeth, then, just lightly grazing sensitive skin.

[necroslacker]

"That's a n - nice compliment," Sam stammered, biting his lower lip and trying to stay focused. He didn't have her control though so it probably wouldn't last too much longer until he was just sighing her name and enjoying himself. "You like me a lot."

He could still say that though.

"Yeah." Well, she supposed it wasn't much of a secret right now. She moved a little further down, from chest to the upper parts of his stomach, with kisses and little nips here and there. "You like me too."
